About
In addition to creating fiction, I write about personal finance and the economy, travel, and other lifestyle topics.
In my nonfiction writing, I enjoy making otherwise obscure topics accessible—a big reason I enjoy being an editor at LearnVest.com, an Accel Partners-backed personal finance website for women.
I also love writing about travel. I lived abroad in Kyoto, Japan for a few months and have also traveled to Haiti, Ecuador, Argentina, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, the UK, France, and Israel.
In addition to writing nonfiction, I spend a great deal of my free time working on a variety of fiction projects, from short stories to stage plays. I am particularly drawn to writing that betrays a true love of language and the understanding that reality is what we make of it; my favorite books include Kafka on the Shore, 100 Years of Solitude, and Midnight’s Children.
